Dear Friends and Family,
Forgive me as I do not have much time to dedicate today to writing to all of you, but would just like to praise the Lord for His goodness. While the weeks have been crazy, He is faithful. This week has been a bit of a rest... but not without the need to take His cross daily and leave my burdens with Him. If you could please pray for Christa and her children as this week has been full of us visiting and changing watch shifts at the hospital where 2 of her little ones, Itza and Arelcy are with Pneumonia. Itza is a year and half years old and Arelcy we just heard is leaving today. The public hospital is filthy and all of the children are crammed in one room with cribs bumper to bumper and there is very little cleaning that occurs. Someone stays with the girls for atleast 24 hours and has very little access to a bathroom, food, other ammenities. Its exhausting, but God has been good. 3 children died the other night in the room where our girls are, so the danger is immense. We´d so appreciate your prayers for little Itza as she is still lacking improvement. I am here in town today with Marilu and we will be getting an ultrasound done for her, because she has has stomach pain for weeks and now has a little bit of a bump. Please pray for Gods provision in everything!
I learn something new every day here, and I am thankful that the Lord never forgets me. He watches over me and protects me even when I dont know it. I am grateful to serve Him.
We press on for Him, aiming to run the race faithfully.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my humble blog; it's not much, but it's a place for me to share the ways the Lord is directing, leading, and teaching me to those I love most. The destination is Esperancita, Honduras... a small town in the tropical countryside of Honduras, where God has led me to a mission field of orphaned children who have stollen my heart. The mission is this... to share the love of my Savior Jesus Christ in every way, and every day with these precious children. Esperancita translates to "little hope" in English, and yet I have no small hope for what the Lord can accomplish through my life, and through the lives of these children. I chose to title the blog "El Mayor Amor" (The Greatest Love), because I know the greatest Love quite personally. I love Him, because He first loved me! And, as the Bible commands, I seek to share that all-too-wonderful love with the children to whom the Lord has led me. As I aim to raise these children in the ways of the Lord, and assist with their most basic of needs (physical) and even their most complex of needs (love), please pray for me; That the love of my Savior would shine through my every action, and every deed... that in this area of "little hope" I could demonstrate the "greatest love" that points directly to Christ!
